Maintained 30-50 weekly private students for over a decade. This has been a unique opportunity to gain the student’s perspective while supporting their growth within music programs at some of the best schools in the country.

In addition to individual and small group lessons, I have been a guest teacher at Marin Academy, San Francisco public schools and taught privately at A Drummer’s Tradition in San Rafael.

Played in a wide range of musical genres, collaborating with dancers, vocalists, and visual artists. Performed/recorded with Mel Graves, Ken Cook, Michael LaMacchia, Edo Castro, Loren Dempster(Merce Cunningham Dance Co.), The Church of John Coltrane, The Kunst- Stoff dancers and many others. Performed at local clubs and festivals including Yoshi’s, Terrapin Crossroads, Bimbo’s 365 Club, The Fillmore Jazz Festival, The Healdsburg Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Sweetwater Music Hall and many others.

Recorded as drummer/percussionist on Gerald Beckett’s 2004 (Traveling West, Summit Records) and 2006 (Flute Vibes, Summit Records) releases. Both have received international airplay reaching 40th and 14th on jazz charts, receiving positive reviews in Jazz Times, All About Jazz and the Allmusic guide.
